When my hair first started growing back, after the chemotherapy began to wear off, I went to the barber shop to get a haircut from my barber of about 5 years. He said; "What happened to your hair?" My father is Nigerian so that should give you an idea of what my hair texture was like. Anyway, my barber said that chemo is like a fresh perm kit. My hair was thin and almost straight.
A few weeks have passed and Mother Africa has yanked that "chemo perm" right out. It looks like I am back to my old hair texture.
